Canal Cruises on Bridgewater Canal

Easily Salford’s most historic and famous waterway, this unique stretch of water flows peacefully through the city, but has a fascinating and surprising story to tell. As part of Salford’s Heritage Open Days the Bridgewater Heritage Boat Company offers two canal cruises to Boothstown and to Barton Aqueduct to the public.

Access the Bridgewater canal towpath on Barton Road, Worsley, M28 (opposite the Bridgewater Hotel). Car parking on the same side as Bridgewater Hotel, near to roundabout. There are a number of pubs and cafes in Worsley Village where you can stop for refreshments.
