Rochdale Train Trail

The history of Rochdale town centre, urban green space, and the peaceful countryside of the Rochdale Canal combine in a new trail leaflet with a twist - a return ride by train. Pennine Edge Forest and Rochdale Council have launched a new leaflet for a 5 mile walk which starts at Rochdale railway station. The walk takes in historic buildings in Rochdale town centre, inclulding the Greater Manchester Service Museum and the home of the Co-operative movement at the Pioneer's Museum. A trip through Belfield's Jubilee Park leads onto the Rochdale Canal towpath for an easy countryside stroll to either Smithy Bridge or Littleborough stations. Regular train services then take you back to your start point.

The leaflet is available from Rochdale Tourist Information Centre - Phone 01706 924928 email tic@link4life.org
