Burrs Country Park

Burrs Country Park lies on the River Irwell one mile north west of Bury town centre.

The park, which holds a Green Flag Award, is a great place to visit, an ideal spot for a range of activities including walking, fishing, picnicking, bird watching and nature study. For the more adventurous there is an assortment of outdoor pursuits available at Burrs Activity Centre and there is also a 5 star Caravan Club site. The park owes part of its existence to Bury's industrial past, as one of Bury's first mill sites many remnants of which still exist today. It is also home to some of the most impressive works on the Irwell Sculpture Trail.

Facilities include: Outdoor pursuits, playground, industrial archaeology, picnic tables, visitor centre and cafe (open weekends and school holidays), caravan club site, campsite, fishing and free car park.
