Countryside Walks

There are many easy, short strolls in the countryside of the Manchester Plain around Middleton, walks in wooded cloughs with hidden industrial ruins near Heywood, surprising countryside views along the Rochdale Canal, and rugged rambling routes in the Pennine uplands near Littleborough and Milnrow. Rochdale really does have walks for everyone whatever your ability and experience. Check the downloads on the Manchester's Countryside website or contact Rochdale Tourist Information Centre on 01706 924 928 for details of leaflets.
