Green Flag Parks
Rochdale borough boasts eight Green Flag parks, each one different in style, but similar in being well kept and providing a safe place to relax. Heywood's Queen's Park won the national 'People's Choice Green Flag Park' award in 2010 and has been restored to its Victorian splendour with a boating lake, riverside walk, sports grounds and a cafe. There are family activities most weekends. Springfield Park near Rochdale town centre includes a miniature railway, Broadfield Park brings a taste of the country to Rochdale town centre, and Hare Hill Park in Littleborough is surrounded by stunning scenery.
