Littleborough and the Pennine Edge

5th March 2010

Rochdale council have launched a new leaflet to promote the Pennines area around Littleborough. This area has a lot to offer, with small, stone-built towns and villages full of heritage, all surrounded by wonderful scenery. It’s a great place for outdoor pursuits of all kinds, from horse riding and mountain biking to water sports on Hollingworth Lake. There’s also a wide range of Quality Graded accommodation, from B&Bs to hotels, self-catering properties, and a 3-star caravan & camp site.

Littleborough is on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border and is easy to get to from either side of the Pennines, whether by car from junction 21 of the M62, or by train from Manchester or Leeds.

The leaflet is available from Rochdale Tourist Information Centre on 01706-924928 or tic@link4life.org
